When choosing formal eveningwear, Connery's Bond favoured midnight blue rather than black. He famously wore a in his first appearance as 007 in 'Dr No' (1962), and a during his final performance in 'Diamonds Are Forever' (1971). The velvet jacket was worn with Midnight Blue Dinner Suit Trousers by Anthony Sinclair, cut with plain fronts and DAKS tops.
